A partner team's single-seater leaving the pit lane

For partner teams

Fill your cars' calendar with Karat

List your race cars once. Karat brings the drivers, gets them ready, puts the days on sale and pays your day rate for every day a car runs with a confirmed booking.

What you get

Your cars, run through one platform

  • List your cars once

Add each car with its series, the seat specs it takes, photos and the day rate Karat pays you. Once Karat has checked a car, it appears on Karat's car series pages and its test days go on sale.

  • Your availability calendar

Mark each car available, tentative or unavailable, day by day or across a range. You decide which days each car is offered, and the days it's booked are highlighted.

  • Karat brings the drivers

Before anyone reaches your garage, Karat has verified their ID, checked their licence, taken them through online training and signed waivers, and taken payment. Under-18s need a parent or guardian to verify, sign and approve every booking.

  • Bookings in your portal

See every test day on your cars in your team portal: the date, the circuit, the car, the drivers booked and the status of each day.

  • Paid reliably

Your day rate is set before anything is booked. Your earnings page shows what you've earned and what's booked ahead, you get a statement for every month with activity, and each payment Karat makes comes with a remittance advice.

  • Damage handled by the process

Karat's staff log incidents on the day, with photos. Damage caused by a driver is handled under Karat's Damage and Excess Policy: the driver's excess is billed by Karat and passed to you, as the agreement sets out.

  • A compliance gate for every day

A test day only goes on sale once Karat has cleared its gate: car, event and safety files, written circuit acceptance, insurance, noise and licence checks.

  • Data and video, captured properly

Karat's staff log each session and publish video, telemetry and lap times to the driver's account, followed by a written debrief within 48 hours.

  • Sign online in minutes

Read the Team Partner Agreement on this site and sign it online from your team portal. Your cars go live once it's signed.

  • More than test days

Karat also runs experience, group and corporate days, sold through quotes and gift vouchers. The agreement covers events as well as test days, so Karat can schedule your cars on them by arrangement.

Questions

Partner team FAQ

Who sets the prices?

You set the day rate Karat pays you for each car, in your team portal. Karat sets the price drivers pay. If you change a car's day rate, Karat checks the car again.

How and when am I paid?

Karat contracts with the driver, so you never chase a customer. For every day a car runs with a confirmed booking, Karat owes you the car's day rate; once the day has passed it's paid in Karat's payout run, with a remittance advice for each payment, and it shows on your monthly statement. Invoicing and payment terms are set out in the Team Partner Agreement.

Team Partner Agreement

Who insures the car?

You do. Under the agreement your team keeps its own insurance for its cars and public liability cover, and shows them to Karat on request. Insurance is also one of the checks on every test day's compliance gate.

Team Partner Agreement

What happens if a driver damages the car?

Karat's staff log the incident on the day. Damage caused by a driver's driving is handled under Karat's Damage and Excess Policy: Karat collects the driver's excess and passes it to you. Costs above the excess, and damage from mechanical failure or preparation, are dealt with as the agreement sets out.

Can I still run my own customers?

Yes. You choose which days each car is offered to Karat, and days you don't mark as available aren't offered. In return, the agreement asks that you don't offer Karat's customers your services directly or invite them to book with you instead of Karat.

How do cancellations work?

If Karat cancels a confirmed booking, Karat pays a cancellation fee that depends on how much notice it gives. If you can't supply a car, tell Karat straight away and try to provide an equivalent one. If the circuit or organiser cancels a day, for example for weather, neither side pays the other and both work to reschedule. The full terms are in the agreement.
