About Brands Hatch

Brands Hatch in Kent is one of the best-known circuits in the UK. It has two layouts: the short Indy circuit, and the longer Grand Prix circuit that runs out into the woods. Its natural amphitheatre gives spectators a view of much of the lap.

The circuit is known for its gradients and its famous first corner, Paddock Hill Bend, a fast, downhill right-hander that takes commitment. Learning Brands Hatch rewards precise braking and good use of the elevation changes.

Questions about Brands Hatch

What can I drive at Brands Hatch with Karat?

Nothing is on sale at Brands Hatch at the moment. Register your interest and we'll tell you when a day opens, or ask us for a quote.

Where is Brands Hatch?

Kent, United Kingdom. Use the map on this page for directions; the exact paddock and arrival time are in your booking.

Do I need a race licence to drive at Brands Hatch?

Not for a Karat experience. For a test day, Karat checks what the circuit and the car class need when you book: many private test days need no race licence, but some circuits and faster cars do. Our guide to Motorsport UK licences explains the options.

What should I bring?

For a test day: your race kit (helmet, suit, boots, gloves and a FHR device for cars), or hire it from us when you book, plus your ID. For an experience: comfortable clothes and flat shoes; we provide the helmet.
